LIVERPOOL'S COUTINHO SUFFERS INJURY AGAINST SUNDERLAND AND COULD BE OUT FOR LONG

Coutinho - the Brazilian magician hobbled off thirty minutes into the match, and it seemed initially that it might prove a long-term problem.

We'll have to wait for any further news but what's for certain is Jurgen Klopp will want to have Coutinho as back as humanly possible. He's already seen another midfielder suffer from an injury setback - Adam Lallana - and if anything, Coutinho is even more vital to the team.

Keeping the unfortunate theme of potential Liverpool injuries going, there are also rumours that Coutinho's compatriot Roberto Firmino might also have picked up a knock.

We'll have to wait and see what are the full diagnoses of these various mishaps, but what's for sure is that Liverpool are currently a point off league leaders Chelsea, who beat Spurs 2-1 in Saturday's late fixture.
