BAYERN PRESIDENT INSISTS SCHWEINSTEIGER MUST PUNISH MOURINHO FOR SNUBBING HIM

Bastian Schweinsteiger has been advised to punish Manchester United by seeing out his agreement "until his last day".

The World Cup winner has been solidified out totally under Jose Mourinho and was not named in United's Europa League squad.

Mourinho just as of late reviewed Schweinsteiger to first-group sessions after weeks training with the club's youth, and the 32-year-old is yet to play this season as he methodologies the last year and a half of his arrangement.

Presently his previous Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has prompted him to take United for each penny he can before stopping football for good.

“If I were him, I would make the people in Manchester pay until his last day,” Hoeness, quoted by ESPN, said on a visit to a Bayern supporters’ group.
“That’s what this club deserves for what they’ve done to him. They should be punished.”

Schweinsteiger said not long ago United would be his last club in Europe, raising the possibility of a move to Major League Soccer.

Yet, Hoeness said:

“From what I have heard, Basti’s on his way out of football. I know him well and I doubt he’s still got the fire left in him for one final major challenge.
“After such a brilliant career, a player like him shouldn’t see out his career in a place like America. For me, America simply isn’t an alternative for a player of his calibre.
“As far as I know, he’s committed to a massive farewell game at Bayern. I would do that but then I would retire.”

Schweinsteiger's pull of trophies amid 13 years at Bayern included eight Bundesliga titles and the 2013 Champions League, and the midfielder was a key individual from the Germany side that won the 2014 World Cup.
