As many of us predicted, Nigerian singer Wizkid got the Artist Of The Year Award in the just concluded 2016 MTV African Music Awards in Johannesburg, South Africa. Wizkid won the award ahead of fellow nominees, Black Coffee (South Africa), Diamond (Tanzania), Sauti Sol (Kenya) and Yemi Alade (Nigeria). The 26-year old Afro beat singer has had a scintillating year which includes featuring in Drake’s chart-topping song, “One Dance”.
