SAD! GUNMEN KILL BUSINESS MAN IN THE PRESENCE OF HIS WIFE AND DAUGHTER IN IBADAN

An Ibadan business man has been mercilessly executed by shooters who assaulted him within the sight of his wife and little girl.

Ifedayo Oladele Adeyemo, an Ado-Ekiti-based business man, has been killed by shooters in Ibadan within the sight of his little girl and spouse.

As indicated by Sunday Punch, Public Relations Officer of the Oyo State Police Command, Adekunle Ajisebutu uncovered that the case was being dealt with as armed robbery.

"I can't state much working on it now since we are as yet investigating. It would seem a robbery case, on the grounds that N30,000 was powerfully taken from a lady in the car. The Commissioner of Police in the state, Abiodun Odude, has coordinated cautious examination regarding the crime and we shall not rest until we get to the root of the matter," Ajisebutu said.


Sister of the deceased, Nike, said that her sibling had left Ado-Ekiti on Monday to go to a social gathering in Ibadan the next day.

According to her, Adeyemo, who was coming back from the gathering in his car, was stopped by his killers who shot him a several times at close range.



“On the day he left Ado-Ekiti, our mother asked him why he had to travel to Ibadan with his family. He told her that he had some business to take care of in the city. Moreover, he has a house in Ibadan. He travelled with his wife, daughter, sister-in-law and a friend who is usually referred to as his personal assistant.

“From what I learnt, they were coming from the party around 9pm on Tuesday, June 6, when his car was stopped by some men. As he was demanding their identity and why they came after him, he was shot and killed. The killers then drove away his car with other occupants while the corpse was left at the scene,” Nike stated.

She additionally stated,“When they got to a location on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, they stopped and left them (other occupants in the car) there. They did not take away the car. They just told the people left in the car that they had achieved their aim. So, it was like an assassination.”

Adeyemo's sister likewise uncovered that her sibling had poultry in Ado-Ekiti where he lived with his family.

The father of the deceased, Sunday Punch learnt, lived abroad.

Inquired as to why her sibling was alluded to as 'Olowo Dubai' (rich man of Dubai) by friends, Nike said he had flown out to Dubai at some point prior with his family on a vacation for a month.

“They finally killed him (Adeyemo). They killed my one and only brother that knows when I am sad and when I am happy. Who am I going to call ‘Brother Dayo? Death, why my brother?”the deceased sister wrote on her Facebook page.

Some of the individuals who commented on the demise of the business man via web-based networking media said it was an assasination.Most of them said the deceased was rich and prominent, and that he helped many individuals who moved toward him for money related help.
